How do I find Estimated Surgery Costs on myCigna?

Question: I need to have surgery and have been told to search on myCigna to find the estimated cost. However, when I search, nothing is showing up for a lot of the local providers. Any suggestions?

Answer: Great question! The short answer: If there aren’t a lot of procedures to evaluate the cost, a cost will not be listed. You may want to try expanding your search to include a larger area and see what comes up, so you can compare costs a little further away.

If you’re still not having any luck, I recommend calling the physician’s office for a quote; while you’re on the phone, be sure to ask for any additional costs that may apply, such as anesthesiologists. 

(Similarly, you may also want to check into physical therapy costs, if needed, by calling the physical therapist’s office.)
